After a very successful event in Toronto, we are very happy to announce the next Media Provenance Summit, to be held in Bergen on 22 September 2026.
We are pleased to once again bring together media and media tech professionals from around the world for the Media Provenance Summit at Mount Fløyen in Bergen, building on the success of last year’s event in a stunning setting overlooking the city.
Co-organised by the BBC, IPTC and Media Cluster Norway, this year’s Summit will include:
- The latest developments in C2PA within an editorial context
- Insights and results from the Project Reynir collaboration
- Co-creation sessions between media and technology companies on implementing C2PA in practice
The goal of the summit is to drive practical implementation and collaboration across the industry, with a focus on C2PA in editorial and media workflows, as well as defining key priorities and next steps.
We also welcome input ahead of the event and encourage participants to share any topics, companies, cases or speakers they would like to see reflected in the programme.
Lunch and refreshments throughout the day are covered by Media Cluster Norway. The day starts with registration at 08:30, with the programme ending at 18:30, followed by a dinner in the evening.
Places will be limited. We will curate the attendee list to ensure a good mix of media organisations and vendors from across the media value chain. Please register on the waiting list as early as possible. Feel free to forward this post to others that you would like to see at this event.
If you apply now, you can expect to be notified by 3 July if your request is accepted. The next round of invitations will be sent on 15 August.
Discount to Future Week for Summit Attendees
The Media Provenance Summit is organised during Media Cluster Norway’s Future Week – One week of events in Bergen dedicated to media technology and newsroom innovation.
Accepted attendees to the summit will get a discount code to the main conference on 23-24 September – a great opportunity to extend your stay to network and hear from ITN, NRK, TV 2 Norway, Reuters Institute, NTB, DPP, Goalhanger, and more.
