Media Cluster Norway has announced the agenda for the 2026 Bergen Media Provenance Summit.

Once again organised by Media Cluster Norway, the BBC and the IPTC, with the support of Agenda Vestlandet, the Summit will be better than ever. The full agenda shows that the discussion around C2PA is moving from planning to implementation, with speakers from the BBC, AFP, Paris Match, CBC/Radio-Canada, Suspilne Ukraine and the EBU, along with many vendors and integrators working on real-world implementations of C2PA in media organisations.

Held next Tuesday 22nd September in Bergen, Norway, the event will bring attendees up to date with the latest developments in best practices around C2PA and CAWG Identity, sharing real-life stories from media organisations who are implementing C2PA in their newsrooms today.

Highlights will include:

  • The BBC talking about their project to signing images on LinkedIn
  • An update on AFP’s progress implementing C2PA
  • A report on a project involving Paris Match signing content from the Cannes Film Festival this year
  • Coverage of the media provenance pilot in Norwegian newspapers
  • A C2PA UGC trial in Canada, with CBC/Radio-Canada and Proofmode
  • Results of Suspline (Ukraine)’s efforts to sign content using C2PA-enabled cameras and publishing workflows (using a C2PA Conformant publishing tool)
  • Live streaming and end to end workflows using a sovereign signing tool from the EBU
  • UX research with Neeltje Berger and Viktor Kewenig from Microsoft
  • A vendor “lightning round” and vendor demos showing how newsrooms (and others) can implement C2PA in their workflows, including Adobe, Castlabs, Vimond, Trufo, Eyevinn, Valid Technologies, Unified Streaming, Noosphere Technologies, Camera Bits, Utimaco and Encypher
  • The launch of the IPTC’s new book, Media Provenance for News Publishers
  • Group breakout sessions with our participants looking at issues and sharing ideas
