Following on from the successful Media Provenance Summit in Bergen on 22nd September, we are proud to be helping to organise the Media Provenance Summit Tokyo 2026, to be held on Tuesday 13th October.

Hosted by the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU) and organised by ABU’s Media Provenance Summit Japan Project, with support from IPTC, EBU, and the BBC, the Summit brings practitioners together with those interested in implementing media provenance technology in their newsrooms.

  • Dmytro Khilchenko and Kyrylo Iesin of Suspilne Ukraine will be presenting their pioneering work on signing content with C2PA Content Credentials, protecting trust at a critical time for the country
  • Andy Parsons of Adobe and Dan Dzuban of Sony will introduce C2PA Content Credentials and the C2PA ecosystem and how it relates to the Asia-Pacific media environment
  • Go Ohtake, Megumi Kawase and Kaori Iida of NHK (Japan Broadcasting Corporation) will present NHK’s work and plans for implementing C2PA Content Credentials in the newsroom
  • Therese Quieta of CATOS and Willy Tan of Mediacorp will present their work trialling C2PA Content Credentials at one of Singapore’s largest media companies
  • Laura Ellis of the BBC will showcase the UK broadcaster’s work trialling C2PA Content Credentials and publisher identity
  • Brendan Quinn of IPTC will present our work helping the news media industry to implement C2PA Content Credentials and publisher identity according to our best practices, including showcasing our new certificate management and signing tools and our book, “Media Provenance for News Publishers”, which will be distributed to attendees.
