Promotional image for webinar on 18 June. Paul Melcher, Espen Kristiansen, Brendan Quinn and Birger Soiland. IPTC Managing Director Brendan Quinn will take part in a webinar on Thursday 18 June discussing how content provenance and AI change the landscape of publishing and content management.

Organised by IPTC member and software vendor Fotoware, the webinar, “Content Ownership: From Theory to Value” is billed as “a strategic panel for publishing leaders on what to own as the industry consolidates, content infrastructure moves from tactical to strategic, and AI rewires how content travels.”

“Content Ownership: From Theory to Value” brings together four organisations operating at different layers of the modern content ecosystem: IPTC on provenance and trust frameworks, IMATAG on persistent watermarking and traceability, TollBit on access and monetisation in new consumption patterns, and Fotoware on workflow governance and metadata infrastructure.

Paul Melcher represents IMATAG and Birger Soiland will represent TollBit. Espen Kristiansen from Fotoware will host and moderate the panel.

As Fotoware states, “[t]his is not a product webinar or a vendor pitch. It is a strategic discussion for news publishers who want to make sense of what comes next”. It will be the first episode in a three-part webinar series.

Streamed live on Thursday, June 18th, at 15.00 CEST / 09.00 EDT, the event is free to attend. The event runs for 45 minutes, including question and answer time.
