Core Concepts Ontology
The generic BBC ontology for people, places, events, organisations, themes which represent things that make sense across the BBC. This model is meant to be generic enough, and allow clients (domain experts) link their own concepts e.g., athletes or politicians using rdfs:sublClassOf the particular concept.
Introduction
This is the core model for representing things such as people, places, events, organisations and themes in the BBC. These core concepts are all subclasses of core:Thing and the minimum metadata needed for each are inherited by the core:Thing. See the example below. This model is intended to be generic to allow different domain representations of these core concepts to come together (e.g., contributors in /programmes and athletes in sport are more detailed).
