This half-day conference will focus on building bridges across the troubled waters dividing different types of visual media and content.

As media converges, we must build bridges with metadata solutions. The most requested bridge is the one spanning still images and video. Our program will investigate what metadata fields are shared between the two media-types and which metadata fields are media specific.

The second part of the conference will address the requirements to apply shared sets of metadata fields to photos or videos in alignment with the business practices of these two different media-types.

We will conclude with an overview of media-type agnostic metadata which widens the view on metadata usage.

Mind the Gap will also discuss "State of the Art" photo metadata: what has been achieved in this area since our first event in 2007? The documentation package created by CEPIC and the IPTC will be presented.

We invite you to discover how to improve your business by using the latest photo metadata at the fifth international Photo Metadata Conference.
